Description

91 Points. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Over seven years, this Bambino Cabernet has received a 93 points (2008), 91 points (2004) and a Bronze award, and is a natural customer favorite.

Our Bambino Cabernet blends clones 337 & 7.  The 2009 nose is full of ripe blackberry jam with an underpinning of toasted oak and the palate carries one of my favorite characteristics from St. Helena in its spicy, herbaceous finish that's framed by a beautiful natural acidity.  This wine continues to provide Cabernet Sauvignon fans with a great value wine that can be enjoyed alone or with the heartiest of meals. 500 cases made

2009 - 91 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Bambino is a huge wine bursting with super-ripe dark berries, plums, spices and licorice. It is a round, supple wine endowed with gorgeous richness and a full-bodied, extroverted personality. Fine, silky tannins wrap around the juicy finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017.

Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown crafts these wines for Michael Chiarello, who is best known as the chef and owner of Bottega in Yountville. These are decidedly flashy, ripe Cabernets.
